1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use the WorthOut app for Android, the web app at app.getworthout.com and this website. WorthOut is made by R.K. Studio, Nicosia, Cyprus (“we”). By using WorthOut, you agree to these terms. If you’re a consumer, nothing in them takes away rights the law gives you.
2. What WorthOut does
WorthOut records the balances you enter and shows calculations from them: your net worth, its history, insights, goals and their projections. It doesn’t connect to banks or move money, and it doesn’t give financial, investment, tax or legal advice. Its figures are only as accurate as what you enter, and exchange rates come from third parties and can be late or wrong. Check anything important before you rely on it.
3. Your vault and your keys
Your data is encrypted with a key that only your passphrase or your recovery key can open. Keep them safe: we never have them and can’t reset them, so if you lose both, nobody can recover your data. Exporting a backup from time to time is a good idea, and export is always free.
4. Your cloud storage
Your vault lives in your own cloud storage account, under that provider’s terms. We aren’t responsible for that service, whether it’s available, or files removed from it. Changing or deleting the files in the WorthOut folder by hand can stop your devices syncing.
5. WorthOut Pro
Pro is a one-time purchase of €9.99, including VAT, and not a subscription; the checkout may show the price in your own currency. It unlocks the Pro features for the vault it was bought for, on every device that opens that vault. Bought on Google Play, it’s sold under Google Play’s terms. Bought on the web, it’s sold by Link, Stripe’s checkout, which handles the payment, tax and your receipt under its own terms. Pro includes the Pro features as the apps offer them, and we may add to and improve them over time.
6. Refunds and withdrawal
For a purchase on Google Play, refunds follow Google Play’s policies, and you can ask for one through Google Play. For a purchase on the web, ask Link through your receipt, or write to us. Where EU law gives you 14 days to withdraw from buying digital content, that right ends once Pro has been unlocked, if you agreed to that at checkout. After a refund, Restore purchase no longer finds the purchase.
7. Fair use
Please don’t misuse WorthOut: don’t try to forge or share licences, overload or attack our licence service, or use WorthOut for anything unlawful.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep WorthOut running well, but it’s provided as it is, and we can’t promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, update or stop offering WorthOut. If we ever stop, we’ll give notice where we can; your vault stays in your own storage, you can export everything, and a Pro licence keeps working in the apps you have, because it’s checked on your device.
9. Other services
Google Drive, Google Play, Stripe and Link, and Frankfurter are run by others under their own terms, and we aren’t responsible for them.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or your rights as a consumer. Otherwise, we aren’t liable for losing data you could have kept by keeping your passphrase, recovery key or backups, or for decisions you make based on WorthOut’s figures, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid for Pro.
11. Ownership
The WorthOut apps, name and mark belong to R.K. Studio. WorthOut uses open-source software under its own licences, listed on each app’s About page.
12. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Cyprus. If you’re a consumer living elsewhere in the European Union, you keep the protection of your own country’s mandatory laws and can bring a claim in its courts. Please write to us first: most things can be sorted out by email.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top of this page, and describe any significant change here before it takes effect.
